Trust us once more, will deliver a better life, says BJP

Guwahati: Top BJP leaders, Chief Ministers and party workers are in Guwahati for a brainstorming session at their national executive committee meet. Day 1 of their session saw the BJP launching a scathing attack on the Congress over corruption.

Following that, BJP General Secretary Ravi Shankar Prasad, speaking to NDTV, said that it is time the country gives BJP another chance.

"You have seen UPA-1 and you have seen UPA -2, they have no initiative left whatsoever to contain prices. Under an economist Prime Minister, people are suffering and corruption galore. Corruption is the signature tune of UPA-2, and if these lakhs of crores would have been saved in so many scams, how many roads would have been built, how many hospitals would have been built? Therefore, a proper positioning of the NDA vis-a-vis UPA. You have trusted them for the last seven years. You have seen Mr Vajpayee's government. Trust us once more, we will deliver for a better life for you," he said.

The BJP at their two-day national executive committee meet also pledged to work hard to come to power in the 2014 general elections.
