New Delhi: Utsav Sharma, the young man who attacked Rajesh Talwar at a Ghaziabad court with a butcher's knife, is a resident of Navada Lanka in Varansi.
Utsav was beaten up by angry lawyers before being taken into custody at the Sihani gate police station in Ghaziabad.
He is reportedly the same man who in February 2010 slashed SPS Rathore's face with a pocket knife outside a Chandigarh Court.
Rathore, who was arrested for molesting teenager Ruchika Girhotra, was headed to his car when Utsav, posing as a journalist with a video camera, rushed toward him with a knife. He stabbed him on his face till a policeman standing behind Rathore overpowered him.
After his arrest, Utsav reportedly told the police that he was a student of film production in Ahmedabad.
Utsav had then been described as psychologically disturbed by the police. His mother is a professor of psychology.
