Distress call by ship on Gujarat coast

Pipav: Rescue operations are under way off Gujarat coast after a distress call by a ship with 32 people on board.

The Coast Guard, Western region, is conducting the operations in the waters of the Gulf of Khabat near Pipav, Gujarat.

The Coast Guard has pressed two of its helicopters into service. An interceptor boat has also been sent.

Twenty six people have been rescued so far by the Coast Guard.
