ANANDPUR SAHIB: A 23-year-old BCA student was found murdered in his shop on Wednesday morning. Police have registered a murder case against unknown persons on the complaint of the victim's father Ram Charan and are looking for the accused.
A resident of Mohalla Rondiwala here, Rajesh Kumar alias Bunti was found lying in a pool of blood early Wednesday morning when his father went to open his cigarette-selling shop in the morning. The family resides just above the tiny shop, on the first floor.
Bunti was last seen around 11pm on Tuesday, when he left the family quarters to close the shop. Apparently, he was killed soon after, for he did not return home. However, the family did not notice his absence as he used to sleep in an independent room. It was only in the morning that the murder was discovered.
Anandpur Sahib DSP Sant Singh said the victim's father found the shop's shutter partially open in the morning.
"Injuries inflicted with a sharpedged weapon have been found on the torso and abdominal part of the body. On the complaint of Ram Charan, a case has been registered against unidentified persons under section 302 of IPC (murder)," he said.
